The project
The Comenius Regio La Máscara del Amor / The Mask of Love is structured in a similar way to the program delevoped jointly by the Regional Ministry of Education and the new Directorate General for Prevention of Gender Violence and Juvenile Reform in our Region, aims to promote the concept educational region, supported by the Commitee of the Regions and founded by the European Commission to train in the Center for Teachers and Resources (CPR) from Cartagena, to secondary teachers from the IES Politécnico from Cartagena and Ampelokipi Lyceum of Thessaloniki (Greece) in the program, through workshops, for the prevention of violence in adolescent couples.
Over 24 months, both sites maintain communication between students and teachers using new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). It also involved a number of other regional partner, sucha as the Cartagena CPR, the NGO CEPAIM and with the cooperation and collaboration of the City of Cartagena, from Educacional Programs Unit.
All actions were initiated in December 2009 with a regional meeting in Cartagena of the partners involved. A transnational coordination meeting with the Greek partners (the Department of Education of Central Macedonia, the Lyceum and the City Council Ampelokipi) took place in Cartagena (Murcia) in January 2010.
As part of the project, a teacher training course for members of the partnership Greek and Murcia, the CPR was held in Cartagena (Murcia) in February 2010. Subsequently, the second meeting transnational coordination with the Greek partners was done in Thessaliniki (Greece) in May 2010. In late November 2010, a delegation from Murcia will conduct a follow-up visit to schools in Thessaloniki (Greece) that has begun to develop, a pilot, the program The Mask of Love.
The next transnational meeting coordination with the Greek partners in Thessaloniki (Greece) is scheduled for April 2011. The project ends with an International Conference in Greece, scheduled for May 2011 for the dissemination and exploitations of results.
